Luciana was brought up in Rome with her grandparents - Luciana's dad was Manlio Paoluzzi who was an Italian military officer. Her mother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was once one of Benito Mussolini's lover's wives. It is not known if there are any siblings. Luciana attended the local high school, following her graduation in the year 1955. She then studied Naval Engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan. She was the sole woman in the class. Then, after two more years of modeling, she was offered an appearance in Three Coins in the Fountain. This was her debut. Brett Halsey - an actor who was her first partner. They made Return to the Peyton Palace in the year 1960 after they tied the knot. Luciana was given custody of the film when they split just a couple of years later. Charles was born. Luciana enjoyed a lengthy relationship with Tony Athony. He was an actor and film producer. Tony was inspired by Luciana's role in Green Slime to create the Spaghetti Western.
