Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, an American-Canadian singer and songwriter. She has more than twenty albums. DiFranco classifies her music as folk-rock and alternative. But it has influences from hip-hop, punk and jazz. Ani DiFranco, widely regarded as an icon of women's rights and Grammy award-winning musician is thought to be the pioneer of DIY music. It was one of the first artists to launch the label she created in the year 1990. DiFranco was the child of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They met at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was Italian descent as was her mother originally from Montreal. Ani diFranco composed and sang the song 32 Flavors. The song is featured on her sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl released in 1995. The song was featured in the soundtrack for the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco apology was made in the year 2013 after it was revealed that she was scheduled to hold the three-day event at the site of a Louisiana ex-slave plantation. The event was later cancelled yet she refused to express regret. DiFranco released a second apology just a few days after the first. Little Folksinger is a musician who has performed with a variety of artists, including Pete Seeger, Chuck D and Prince. The singer lives in New Orleans. Ani was born Kristen Ford. At the age of 14, she had begun creating her own music. They performed at coffeehouses, bars, and in the streets throughout her teenage years. DiFranco completed her studies at the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts high school in the year 16, and enrolled in courses at Buffalo State College. Ani's new baritone guitar is custom Alvarez created following several meetings between her myself as well as Chrys Johnson, who was the rep for artists for Alvarez in the early days. It features their System 600 amp and is all made from solid woods, including the body with a mahogany top and cedar sides with an ebony-fretboard. The owner lives in New Orleans, with her family, which includes her spouse and two children. Lefty is their dog friend who wanders around while she talks. DiFranco says she is ambivalent regarding the notion of looking at her career backwards, even if it's been over three decades. Punk/folk singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco attained musical heroine recognition at age 25 among both fans and critics with her seventh release Not A Pretty Girl in 1995, and later had a bigger recognition in the year 1996 with Dilate in 1996. The first single from the album Looking Glass, Brandy is a 1972 American pop song from the year 1972. Elliot Lurie wrote the song. Lurie is also the musician and vocalist for Looking Glass.
