Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is a American writer, singer and actress well-known for her character Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she started her professional career as an actor on stage with Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. In the following years, she appeared in many Broadway productions before making it big on the national theatre area with Li'l abner's in 1957. The same year, She made her debut album, It's the Time for Tina. Her first appearance into Hollywood was in the role of Griselda on God's Little Acre, a 1958 drama. The film was met with wide praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. While students of Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. Another notable character she played in the role of Ginger Grant, which CBS signed her up to play in the year 1964. Louise kept juggling her career effectively with a variety of roles between Broadway TV and Hollywood portraying somber characters as opposed to her image as being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She has also appeared in SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in the last few years she's earned a reputation for herself as a director of famous TV shows, including Supernatural. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 27th August, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto when she was three. Her childhood was spent there as well as her adolescence. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver and Canada, following her decision to play the lead.
